About the Skyline Legacy Fund (SLF)

The Skyline Legacy Fund (SLF) was established in 2020 as an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization to provide alumni, faculty, staff, students, and interested donors an opportunity to ensure future resources are in place to strengthen and fulfill the high achievement of the Skyline High School (SKYLINE) student experience.

SLF, a long-term legacy endowment fund, solicits and accepts donations for current program needs, scholarships and financial aid. SLF is governed by a volunteer board of trustees comprised of SKYLINE alumni in collaboration with SKYLINE administration. This website provides information on the SLF organization and governance, fiduciary oversight, funding projects, and giving pathways.

A Brief History of the Skyline Legacy Fund

The SLF project was started after discussions with the SHS principal about our intent and proposed purpose of meeting the unmet needs and wants of the students, staff, school, and administration. The concept was immediately welcomed and appreciated and has become a collaborative partnership with the SHS administration, recognizing SLF as the main funding organization for all Skyline alumni classes. SLF is an independent fund operated by a Board of Trustees made up of SHS alumni members.

We are anticipating future collaborations with the established SHS Community Advisory Board and involving staff, student representatives, and additional alumni on standing committees and projects. As stated, it is our intention to be inclusive and broad-based to support SHS well into the future.
